Going Home

“For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.”  2nd Corinthians 5:1 (NLT)

My sweet daddy went home to be with the LORD early this morning. And even though I’ve cried buckets of tears, I’m so pleased for Daddy.

I have no words, so I’m going to include a link to a song everyone loved hearing Daddy sing back before COPD robbed him of his breath. Its words are an expression of Daddy’s life. Loving worship!

I imagine he’ll soon be singing in Heaven’s choir with healed lungs and a face radiant with the joy that comes from being with Jesus.

Happy Homegoing Daddy! I love you to the moon and back!!!

  1. Oh my precious friend, my heart hurts for you and your family. Praying that God wraps his loving arms around you all and gives you peace and comfort. 🙏🙏❤️ Love you!

  2. Paul and Judy, thank you! My precious momma is recovering from Monday’s pacemaker surgery, still passing out due to dropping b/p, and grieving her loss of Daddy after over sixty-one years of marriage. Your thoughts and prayers are very welcome!

Please let everyone there know George arrived in time to tell Daddy goodbye. And although Daddy wasn’t able to talk at the end, he could see us and hear our words of thanks and love with him.

  3. Barb, we here at 339 express our deepest sympathies to you, George and your families through this extremely tough time. Please let us us know if we can help you in any way. You are in our thoughts.

    Paul and Judy Oxley
